Visit the beautiful Yakima Valley on your next Washington Wine Tour

Stop by on your next Washington wine tour of the Yakima Valley appellation wineries and enjoy distinctive Yakima Valley wines along with a touch of history. Piety Flats Winery is a member of the Rattlesnake Hills Wine Trail and conveniently located just off the I-82 freeway.

The wine tasting room is situated in the 1911 Donald Fruit and Mercantile with its old country store charm where you can sample Syrah, Merlot, Carmenere, Cabernet Sauvignon, Riesling, Pinot Grigo-Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Gewurztraminer, Black Muscat, Port, and Late Harvest wines. Ample parking for wine tours.

In the area surrounding the store, visitors can view buildings from Wapato's early agricultural days — a hop kiln dating back to the 1890s, the McDonald House and the Egbert French house. Piety Flats was the first area in the Yakima Valley to have irrigation, thus the true beginning of Yakima's agricultural industry.

Enjoy a picnic with a glass of fine Piety Flats wine in the picnic area adjacent to the store, or sit on the winery's porch and enjoy the country sights. Browse the gourmet foods for a few treats to take home. The kids will love the old fashioned natural root beer, candies and other goodies.

A visit to Piety Flats Winery affords the opportunity to sample world-class Yakima Valley wines, take in a little history and enjoy a relaxing picnic under the walnut trees, of course, with a glass of wine!
